Nuvvon’s COO is interviewed for Power Electronics News

December 20, 2024

Jonathan Lex discusses the scalability benefits of Nuvvon's new polymer electrolyte technology with Maurizio Di Paolo Emilio from Power Electronics News.

Power Electronics News’ article “Novel Solid Polymer Electrolytes Enable Truly Solid-State Batteries (SSBs)” highlights how Nuvvon’s polymer electrolyte technology can integrate seamlessly into existing lithium-ion battery production lines due to the ‘drop-in’ compatibility of its polymer electrolyte, avoiding the costs of factory retrofits or extensive new equipment.

The article reviews Nuvvon’s innovative polymer, its high performance electrolyte, enhanced safety and energy density for various applications, versatility across high-performance sectors, as well as its adaptability and future proofing.

Also discussed is how the polymer electrolyte developed by Nuvvon offers distinctive properties that make it highly suited for demanding applications, as well as adaptable to a wide range of industries, including EVs, portable electronics, aerospace, and microgrid energy storage.

Nuvvon’s proprietary technology achieves high ionic conductivity across a wide temperature range (see Figure 1), from temperatures (0°C) to high temperatures (80°C), with ionic conductivity values reaching up to 6.6 x 10-3 S/cm.
